Decluttering Under the Kitchen Sink
In most homes, under the kitchen sink is the place where junk seems to build up over time and therefore the area becomes a zone of the unknown. Although many homeowners are unaware of how to keep the space under the kitchen sink clear of clutter, there are many tips that can be used to help the homeowner to find what they are looking for, one hundred percent of the time, with ease.
Here are some tips that you can use to declutter under the kitchen sink:
Reduce the amount of bottles and cleaners which are found under the sink. Many people keep half full bottles of liquid cleaner under the sink. If you are able to reduce these you can easily clear up some space under the kitchen sink to store other items.
Make use of clear plastic drawer storage systems. These types of storage systems are more effective than storage bins, as they provide the homeowner with drawers that can easily slide out, without having to remove the entire system from the drawer. There are many items which can be stored in these drawers, from extra kitchen supplies like rubber gloves and sponges to items which are bulkier, like bottles of cleaner that have been unopened. Even trash bags can find their home within these organizers.
There are many items which are often stored under the kitchen sink which have no merit when it comes to organizing. These items just do not belong under the kitchen sink and it is as easy as that. Therefore, when cleaning the area, remove these items from under the kitchen sink to make the most of the space and save room for the things that you truly need.
Be sure to clean under the kitchen sink as you organize, this can reduce the amount of dust and dirt which seems to accumulate within the area. There is no point in organizing something that has not been cleaned! Make use of these tips to decrease your clutter and start living an organized life.

Great tips! I also find that when you make an attempt to avoid a “junk drawer” in your kitchen, all that junk can easily wind up under the kitchen sink if you don’t really take the time to find a proper home for all of those odds and ends.
If you have an accumulation of odds and ends under your kitchen sink…even if you have them contained in some way…it is always better to find a proper home for all items that truly do not belong in a kitchen.
