Tips to Become Clutter Free

The key to becoming clutter free is to get rid of excess things. You may be a pack rat and keep everything or just keep certain items. Before you stick an item into storage think about if you are really going to use it or need it. Becoming clutter free in the home means you need to do a thorough cleaning and organization of each room. It can help to go room by room to become clutter free.

When making your kitchen clutter free make sure the items you use frequently have center stage. You should also set limits to the amount of a certain item you have on hand. To keep your kitchen drawers clutter free, think of how many times you use an item and how many you have. For example if you only use one chip clip but own eight then you can get rid of some. Create a pile of items to donate or give away. You should make all areas; drawers, pantry, cabinets and fridge clutter free.

The same process you used to make the kitchen clutter free can be used in all of your rooms. Clutter free bathrooms include cleaning out the medicine cabinet and other stuffed drawers. Make sure your shower or bath contains items you use daily. You can use wall space to store items when making your bathroom clutter free.

If there are a lot of member sin your family and they all use one bathroom you can create personal bath totes to keep the shower area clutter free. Each person will have a bath caddy or tote that has their own bath items. The containers can then be stored under the sink or in the linen closet and taken out when needed. This way to make your shower clutter free is a great way to make sure that everyone can find needed items.

Having a clutter free bedroom is necessary so you can sleep in a peaceful and calm environment. Sleeping and going to bed is about relaxation and your bedroom should not have a lot of clutter. Basically a clutter free bedroom should have a nightstand, dresser, bed, lamp and chair or bench. Having too much furniture can make your bedroom feel small and uncomfortable. Clean out your bedroom and get a great nights sleep by having a clutter free room.

Isn’t renting a storage space to put all of your things into the exact OPPOSITE of decluttering? Sure, it gets it out of your house, but it’s still in your life. I love to use http://www.freecycle.org to give things away to people who can use them.
